    StartUp Britain was launched on March 28 2011 by the Prime Minister David Cameron to celebrate, accelerate and inspire enterprise in the UK.

    On March 28th, StartUp Britain celebrated two successful years in which it has taken the start-up message to thousands of Britons looking to become their own boss.

    On March 28th 2013 - StartUp Britain celebrated the growing number of people starting businesses in Britain with a happy birthday message atop the iconic BT tower, courtesy of campaign sponsor BT Business.

    StartUp Britain was launched on March 28 2011 by the Prime Minister David Cameron to celebrate, accelerate and inspire enterprise in the UK.  StartUp Britain has now celebrated two successful years in which it has taken the start-up message to thousands of Britons looking to become their own boss.

  • PopUp Britain Launch

    The Department for Communities and Local Government is giving a big boost to small retailers as it opens a brand new pop-up shop in its own headquarters. As part of the Government's efforts to regenerate high streets and encourage entrepreneurs, the shop is being opened in time for final Christmas present buying this week by Communities Secretary Eric Pickles and Local Growth Minister Mark Prisk, with the support of national enterprise campaign StartUp Britain.

  • StartUp Tour Video

    The 2012 StartUp Britain bus tour inspired and supported young people who are interested in starting their own business.
     
    The campaign team travelled the length and breadth of the UK visiting 40 universities and further education colleges, which is set to give students the opportunity to network with and learn from business advisers and successful entrepreneurs, which will help alleviate the fear factor of going it alone.

  • PopUp Britain: Fashion Fortnight

    PopUp Britain was created to give new British brands a rare opportunity to get their products onto the British High Street. Our flagship popup store in Richmond opened in July and houses Britain's most promising small enterprises for two weeks at a time.
     
    Six high-end fashion start-ups hijacked the store during London Fashion Week; select labels and fashionistas, including MyEdo, The Chapar, Hamilton and Hare, Dielle, The Fold and Zoe Boomer, exclusively showcased their new-season collections.

  • Start-Up Games

    London is in the middle of hosting the 30th Olympiad - this is a magnificent showcase for the country, the capital and, in particular, for Tech City.
     
    The inaugural Start-Up Games, announced by No. 10, will bring together technology start-ups from all over the world to compete, in the spirit of The Games, for the prestige and PR of being recognised as being among the high growth companies of the future.
